Our Vision
A new non-profit charitable organization, the Earthshine Astronomy and Space Science Organization (EASSO), has been formed to help build and operate a state-of-the-art Planetarium and Space Discovery Centre in Southern Ontario. Our mandate:
- to promote astronomy, space science and allied sciences to the people of Southern Ontario
- to fulfill a critical need to improve scientific literacy and understanding about our universe, among a diverse population
- to provide astronomy and space science education consulting and to run educational public outreach programs in Mississauga, and the surrounding western GTA
- to oversee the design, construction and operation of an astronomy and space science facility in Mississauga
